Suhairi is...
... in awe of Fabregas' awesome skills and thinks that he is currently the best midfielder in the world.
...shocked that Jose Mourinho left in difficult circumstances.
...going to change his dislike for Mourinho into that of respect.
...hoping nothing like that Mourinho incident will ever happen at Arsenal or any football club for that matter.
...going to hit the books...again...sigh

It's been a good week thus far =) Arsenal beat Sevilla pretty comprehensively, Jose's out of a job, I might be losing weight etc.
But more importantly, Suhairi is genuinely happy =D
Unfortunately he also needs to catch up on work

LT29, Anatomy Hall and all the Canteens
So I've finally had the first week of school under my belt and it sure was a tiring one. From being cooped up in LT 29, to the long lunches and finally the 'induction' into the medical community by taking an oath over a cadaver it's all very eye-opening and yet enjoyable at the same time. I'd like to think that I've somehow changed and become a better individual, less antisocial, less arrogant and simply be thankful for what I have. Now all that needs to be done is to have better time management and a longer attention span for the lectures =)
Oh yes, I, together with a few other of my Ogmates have accomplished a minor feat! We've been to all the canteens bar the one at Law in our first week of school. I simply find it highly amusing that it's not just the stomachs that we feed on our little excursions. And of course I am continually overwhelmed by the amount of workload we seem to have so I hope I won't be frowning so much over a textbook. And of course there are some social events I can look forward to like the Medicine Ball(no reference to that orange ball that weighs 4kg and gets tossed around during strength training) this Saturday and Anugerah Mendaki next week. Let's just hope the lecturers will continue to be kind and not dump something radically unfamiliar and complex on us.
Oh well, looks like I still have to grapple with the new-found independence of university life

It's a new footballing season as well as a fresh academic year! And if memory serves me right both of them should end at right about the same time =)
Well, tomorrow I begin my journey as a university student, meaning I begin on a clean slate. I just hope I can look back on this entry in 5 year's time and say what an amazing journey it has been.

Where Your Treasure Is, There Will Your Heart Be Also
Whoa the past few days have been an emotional rollercoaster for me. From the euphoria of Medicamp to the final instalment of Harry Potter. But let's begin from the start shall we?
If you thought Medicampers were boring, geeky people you were so wrong. My OG was so damn fun! We were Sombala by the way and we played with integrity and intensity. I'm sure we shocked many other OGs with our move not to steal their prizes even though we had earned that right through the auction. Plus we all had our own little quirks and were forever obsessed with the popular 'fixture' at Changi and a certain phenomenon where the Pectoralis Major were overdeveloped. I was so glad I signed up for this camp cause it turned out to be one of the best ever. Unfortunately I'll never be able to listen to 'Girlfriend' by Avril Lavigne normally ever again. Each time the song is played there will be a mad rush to find partners and the throwing of arms and legs in all sorts of different directions. But of course the camp wouldn't have been a success if not for the OGLs who worked tirelessly and were always willing to give valuable advice even though they barely knew us at the start. Not to mention they must have sacrificed a sizeable portion of their holidays to prepare for this. Just wanted them to know their efforts are being appreciated =)
Anyway, the long awaited Book 7 is out! It's highly complicated and emotional especially when you look at the casualties. There was simply too much carnage for me since each character was so special. But at the end of it, the book had a special message which I can relate to. Now all I have to do is read the book again since there were parts where I just gleaned over.
the last enemy that shall be destroyed is death

I must admit that even as an ardent Harry Potter fan the fifth movie left me with a lingering sense of dissapointment as I left the cinema. No I didn't catch it with the SOM people as there was the initial uncertainty of getting a ticket and I absolutely had to watch it once it came out. To me, the past few movies just didn't do justice to the books where the plot was carefully crafted and the suspense maintained. Instead it was the classic case of squeezing too much information into too few frames. Why don't they just follow LOTR and just create a movie of epical proportions? We certainly deserved it after such a long wait.
However, there were certain aspects that made me smile during the movie. Rather unexpectedly, Luna Lovegood has a sexy voice! Yeah it was mostly monotonous during the movie but imagine if she was speaking to you normally. And of course Emma Watson didn't dissapoint. No doubt she was more glamourous in the last one but she still looked good as ever. Plus I personally liked her hair tied back.
On another note altogether, I've been rather uncertain of myself. How could I have aged so much in 3 years? In 2004 I was a picture of contentment. Now I'm going to be so old and will have to cope with so many new things. Things I admit I'm ill-prepared for. And why is it so difficult to trust anymore? Perhaps I've been too comfortable for my own good.
And after reviewing pictures of girls that I consider attractive, I've made an interesting discovery! It's all in the eyes and quite possibly, the hair. Better yet, it's eyes that display vulnerability and a certain steel at the same time that captivates me. Thus far I've only seen this once or maybe twice at the most.
Jeisa Chiminazzo. Now that's a name and a face to remember. Along with Jessica Stam. Megan Fox isn't too bad either. I can only hope that I am blessed enough to meet someone with those features. Not necessarily marry. Just to be in the same room and have a picture taken would be more than sufficient.
Keep on dreaming Su, just keep on dreaming.

Apparently there's tonnes of stuff that are happening right now just when I was already settling into a comfortable routine of being immersed in the wonders of DVD/VCDs or books. Let's take a look shall we?
1)Harry Potter Screening of the Order of the Phoenix on 11th July courtesy of the YLL School of Medicine.
2)Medi camp from the 16th to the 19th of July at Aloha Loyang.
3)Ministry of Sound Invitational Party on the 21st where entrance is possibly free depending on how fast I respond.
4)Short overseas trip(unconfirmed) from the 26th to the 29th.
To go or not to go? Please don't tell me I have to decide by tossing a coin.
